The one of the LeEco’s latest powerful smartphones Le2 was launched a few days back and received a huge amount of appreciation from media and publication houses. The company launches this phone in its mega event in New Delhi, where all the big publications, bloggers and also some lucky superfans were present. We were also there so we also got a chance to experience this phone after the event. So the question is that, what makes this superphone a worth to buy in this budget segment??
So as you can see that the phone looks beautiful in its design. The full-metallic design of the phone gives it a premium look. It also comes with a new color option(Rose Gold) which was absent in its predecessor Le1s. So the phone scores very good marks in the design comparing to all other devices in this budget segment.
Now moving further to its performance and other features, Le2 comes with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor which is the big highlight of this phone because no other phone in this budget segment in India offers this processor. This makes Le2 an insatiable multimedia monster.
We have experienced the performance of the phone by playing high-end games and can say that this beast can handle High-intensity gaming, graphical display and multi-tasking with supreme ease; supported by the Adreno 510 GPU. Truly, this phone can beat all its competitors in performance easily.
Now comes the storage and RAM, the device packed up with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM to boost its performance and 32GB of internal storage without the option of expendable storage which means there is no slot of micro-sd card in the phone like its predecessor Le1s and here the device loses a point because in this price segment, many other companies are providing 64GB or more storage. I think the company could make improvements here but made a compromise by providing 5TB cloud storage with the phone. I think in a country like India where the internet speed is not so good, this can’t be useful. But, the people who uses cloud storage then this phone is a jackpot for them. Even, for me personally the phone had enough storage because i also used to store my data on cloud so that i can access it anywhere anytime with the internet. So, for me the storage is not a big problem.
The next thing which i loved in this phone is its camera. Le2 comes up with 16 MP rear camera of aperture f/2.0 with the features like PDAF(Phase Detection Auto Focus), close loop and dual-tone flash which is quite impressive in taking nice and clear shots. The color reproduction in this phone is amazing as we experienced it too. You can shoot even 4k video recording @30fps with the device.
The 8 MP front-facing camera with 1.4 micron pixels resulting in altogether brighter pictures comes replete with a beautification feature that smoothens out complexion for an even-toned look.
- Now talking about some basic specifications, the phone comes out of the box with 5.5″ Full-HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
- The operating system on the phone is LeEco’s Eui 5.6 based on Android Marshmallow. On its back, a fingerprint scanner which allows 360 degree touch for phone unlocking under 0.15 seconds.
- You’ll have a secure fingerprint payment system if you need it and privacy protection when you want.
- It comes with Dual 4G SIM support with dual standby and supports all the 4G bands across all over India and also comes with VoLTE support that ensures exceptional HD voice call quality with the added benefit of simultaneous Voice and Data calling(*Note: VoLTE support to be available via OTA shortly).
- All the sensors and an IR Blaster is present in the device.
- The phone is packed with 3000 mAh battery with supercharge support so it is better now than the previous Le1s which heats up quickly during some high usage but this phone can handle high usage easily.
And now introducing LeEco’s revolutionary CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology which makes this device the world’s first smartphone equipped with this technology. By replacing the 3.5 mm jack with a Type-C port, company introduced a revolutionary approach to mobile audio transcoding and transmission that’s an audiophile’s delight. And that delivers genuine Continual Digital Lossless Audio from beginning to end.
So, the time comes to say goodbye to the 3.5mm audio jack and the accompanying fuzz of analogue audio transmission, lacklustre stereo sound due to poor sound channel separation and compromise in sound quality by mismatch of headphone jack and socket.
So, from my opinion looking at all the aspects you should definitely go with this smartphone beacuse no other device will provide you such specifications and high-end performance in the budget of INR 11,999.
With this smartphone, company also launches its own online e-commerce shopping portal “LeMall”. And you have also a chance to grab this phone at Rs.1 from the Le Mall (Check details – Here).
